Two 12-year-old boys were arrested Wednesday evening in Gentilly after allegedly attempting to rob a 32-year-old man at a gas station.  The man said he rode his bike to the location in the 6300 block of Elysian Fields Avenue about 9 p.m. when the two boys approached. The man told police he had been harassed by the boys previously.  In the Wednesday night encounter, the man said the boys called him a "snitch," at which point he said he fled the scene. The man spoke with an officer in the area. The two boys were later apprehended.  Below are additional incidents handled by local authorities recently:  • Two men were recently arrested on allegations that they raped a woman whom they hired to strip and robbed her at gunpoint before one of them knocked her unconscious with a punch, according to New Orleans court records. Dominique Engham and Rashad Lumar, both 24-year-olds from Vacherie, face counts of first-degree rape and armed robbery after their arrest Nov. 17. Engham also faces a count of simple battery in connection with the Nov. 11 attack, which the woman reported the next day, police said. The woman told police she had stripped at a bachelor party when she was contacted over Instagram, asked for "a private dance session," and ended up agreeing to meet two men at Harrah's Casino. The three went to a motel in the 10000 block of Interstate 10 Service Road in New Orleans, and the men attacked her, police said. According to police, at one point, they debated killing her, and she pleaded, "I have kids. You can have ... money just let me go, all I want is my life." NOPD Detective Claudia Bruce identified Engham and Lumar as suspects in the case after reviewing surveillance video at Harrah's. • A 33-year-old man said he was sitting inside his vehicle in Treme when a person approached asking for money, then attempted to hit him with a screwdriver. The incident occurred about 6:34 a.m. Wednesday morning near the intersection of St. Philip and N. Tonti streets. The man said he told the person he didn't have any money before reaching for his cell phone. At that point the person attempted to strike the man with the screwdriver, then fled on foot, according to the report.
