Monthly demand for food support recently reached 4,000 individuals being served by the Niles Township Food Pantry in Skokie. Hoping to streamline the Pantry operation while serving more clients, Food Pantry Manager Tony Araque applied for an Immediate Needs Grant Application from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The grant application was accepted and a check underwriting the purchase of an electric pallet jack was recently presented to the Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation.
Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation President and Niles Township Clerk, Charles Levy stated," The Pantry staff is devoted to an efficient, dignified experience for all Pantry clients. The new pallet jack will help the staff quickly process deliveries and move goods with reduced manual effort. We are grateful for the Greater Chicago Food Depository's support."
