A man reported two cellphones and a speaker, worth nearly $1,500, were missing. The man told police someone allegedly entered his home through the front door, which he believes was left unlocked, according to a police report. Stolen vehicle. Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle Nov. 7 from a man who lives on the 1100 block of South Racine Way. The man said he parked his vehicle outside his home and locked the doors. When he walked outside a few hours later, the car was gone, according to a police report. Candle crazed. Officers were dispatched Nov. 8 to the Safeway at 1677 S. Havana St. after store personnel said they had detained an alleged shoplifter. The woman had attempted to steal $103 worth of scented candles, according to a police report. Officers cited the woman on suspicion of theft, according to the report.
